A huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraisers and/or donated items for the Kenya 2025 trip. You enabled our students to help make a difference to the lives of the children we worked with, and hopefully to experience something life-changing for themselves. While we were there, we tiled two classroom floors, repaired a damaged partition wall, painted a classroom with lots of things to support their curriculum, played games, sang songs, baked cakes, held hands, taught lessons, led a sports day, and blew endless bubbles! Before we left, we purchased the new textbooks needed for the new curriculum, exercise books for every child, planning books for the teachers, whiteboard pens, refills and erasers, maths sets, a Bible, and a dictionary. With the donations we took, every child and teacher received at least 2–3 new items of clothing and many received a pair of shoes too. The school manager also contacted local mothers and women she knew were in need of the baby clothes and bras we had. Thank you again for all your support in making this possible! A warm welcome to our Year 7 students who started with us today. They have enjoyed getting to know their new tutors as well as enjoy a few lessons. We look forward to welcoming the rest of our students in full winter uniform at 8:30am tomorrow.

Saint George Catholic College – Class of 2025 Celebrates Their Outstanding GCSE & Vocational Results We are incredibly proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2025 at Saint George Catholic College. This year's GCSE and vocational results reflect the extraordinary effort, resilience, and dedication of our students. An impressive 88% of students achieved grades 4–9 in both English and Maths, with 69% securing strong passes at grades 5–9 in these core subjects. 43% of all GCSE grades were a grade 7 or above. These results are a true testament to our students' hard work and positive mindset, and they lay a strong foundation for success in their future studies, careers, and beyond. Our students have shown not only academic excellence but also the character and determination to reach their full potential. When they joined Saint George in year 7 during the COVID pandemic it was an anxious and challenging time for them but despite the disruption and adversity they faced early on, they have grown in strength and maturity, completing this chapter of their education with pride, excitement and accomplishment. This success has been made possible through the unwavering support and dedication of our incredible staff, who work tirelessly to ensure every student thrives. Their commitment to nurturing each individual's potential has made a lasting impactand today's joyful celebrations are proof of that. Within this cohort are many personal success stories: students who have made exceptional progress, exceeded expectations, or achieved the highest possible grades. Congratulations to our Year 9 Geographers who won this years' Southampton Geography Masterminds quiz against 8 other schools in the city. The event was held at the prestigious OS building in Southampton.

What a Match! Huge shoutout to our incredible staff in Saint George for lacing up their boots and putting on an unforgettable football matchall in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities. The energy was high, the tackles were (mostly) clean, and the goals... well, let's just say some were surprisingly impressive! Meet the Governors! – Anna McCormack As Chair of Governors, Anna McCormack plays a key role in shaping the future of St George. Before joining us in 2017, she spent seven years as a governor at St Swithun Wells, making a seamless transition from primary to secondary education. Anna is a parishioner of St Swithun Wells Parish, Eastleigh. Anna is deeply involved in school life, serving on the Steering Group, Curriculum Committee, Finance & Resources Committee, Pay Committee, and Admissions Committee. As Link Governor for Leadership and Management, she works closely with Mr. Habberley and the leadership team to drive excellence across the school. Anna's career was in the Supermarket industry, where she was a project and change manager at the London Head Office. Our St Vincent De Paul group here in school are fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charity which provide accommodation for families of sick children in hospital. We have a house here near Southampton General Hospital. Next Monday we have a staff football game on the Astro where pupils can donate 50p to watch and we will be selling ice creams / lollies £1. Friday 18th July will also be a non school uniform where pupils should donate £1, with all monies to Ronald McDonald houses.

Pupils took part in our annual Faith Day earlier this week, where they enjoyed workshops and talks from guest speakers around the theme of pilgrims of hope to mark this Jubilee Year. The day concluded with masses and a tutor activity to contribute to our Wall of Hope.
