SLPs are a network of high performing centres covering the whole country, organised through the STEM Learning Network who work to improve the quality of science teaching and education within their own areas at primary, secondary and further education levels. We were asked to take over the contract due the excellent position the Science department is in, and the extensive links and networks that have been established already. Mr Douglas is the Lead teacher for the SLP, which will put St George firmly on the map at a regional and national level for high quality science teaching and staff development.
