Minibus Driver
We are seeking a part-time minibus driver for our school run, in the mornings and afternoons.
As a Catholic school, the staff work with the Headteacher and the Governors in realising the educational Mission of the Church, which is reflected in the school's vision statement, its SEF and the school development plan.
Salary: Actual salary £8,377 (FTE £24,038)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 6.45am – 8.15am and 2.45pm – 4.15pm (Term Time Only)
Responsible to: Member of SLT
Core purpose
We are looking for a hard-working, flexible individual, to provide a safe, reliable and professional transport service for students of St George Catholic College.
To ensure that the students using the service on a daily basis are collected and dropped off in a timely and safe manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
The minibus driver will be required to collect a school minibus from the school site in the morning, carrying out daily checks of the minibus before leaving the site. The driver will conduct a run during the morning, collecting pupils from designated pick-up points and driving them to school. They will then conduct a run during the afternoon, collecting pupils from the school and dropping at the designated points. They will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all passengers during the run.
Further Information
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude, have a good sense of humour, good communication skills, show initiative and be confident to work alone and be responsible for the students that are being transported. Candidates must hold a D1 driving licence and have a clean licence. An existing MIDAS certificate would be preferred but training will be given to obtain this.
