Catholic Schools Inspection

All Catholic schools are inspected under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005, which evaluates the distinctive Catholic character of the school. The inspection considers how effectively the school lives out its Catholic mission, the quality of Religious Education, prayer, and liturgy, and how faith is reflected in every aspect of school life.

In our most recent inspection, inspectors judged Catholic Life and Mission to be Outstanding and recognised the exceptional commitment of our staff in creating a community where every young person is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Highlights from the report

"Staff commitment at all levels is exceptional; they readily serve the community and participate in activities and routines which promote the school's high standards, and especially those which reinforce the ethos of the school.“

"The pastoral care of students is excellent, with the work of the Trinity Centre, catering for the most vulnerable, deemed exemplary.“

"Staff are positive role models and, in all their dealings with students, they show respect and compassion for the individual.“

"The overwhelming majority of parents express a high degree of satisfaction with the school's ethos and regard staff willingness to go the extra mile as a prime indicator of belief informing action."
