Prayer lies at the heart of our Catholic Life and Mission. We are dedicated to giving students and staff the spiritual guidance and support they need to lead prayer and Celebration of the Word.
Our Chaplaincy Team has developed a bespoke St George Prayer Padlet for students, staff and families, including our College prayer. Parents can also view our Prayer and Liturgy Policy, which explains how prayer and collective worship form an integral part of daily life at St George.
If you have any questions about the prayer life of the school, or would like further advice, please contact our College Chaplain and Senior Leader, Mr Walford.
Each morning, tutor groups gather for a Celebration of the Word, giving students the opportunity to reflect on Scripture and the themes of the liturgical year. Students regularly lead these acts of worship using our Prayer Padlet, alongside a structured programme of prayer and reflection. You can view our Tutor Time Schedule to see when each year group has tutor-based prayer and Celebration of the Word.
The Angelus is said at 12:15 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
We say our beautiful, bespoke school prayer regularly and invoke the intercession of our school patrons, St George and Our Lady of Guadalupe, daily.
Saint George, Pray for us!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

The Chapel of Our Lady and St George is the spiritual heart of our school. Open throughout the day, it offers a peaceful place for prayer and quiet reflection. Students and staff are welcome to visit the chapel at break and lunchtime, and the chaplain leads tutor groups in Eucharistic Adoration and Stations of the Cross (indoors and out).
Students, staff, parents and parishioners are warmly invited to join us for our weekly 8 am Thursday Mass, celebrated by one of our local priests.
