Watch relevant television programmes such as Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky Arts, The Culture Show or Channel Four documentaries. YouTube an art/craft technique and have a go!

Have a read of the arts section in a weekend broadsheet newspaper. Go to your local library and take out some books on art or crafts that you might be interested in – then have a go yourself.

Take your sketchbook and camera everywhere you go. Whether it is the changing seasons, an interesting object or architecture, inspiration is all around. (If you are in Year 10/11 you can link your drawings/photos to the theme of your coursework).
