Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

Well done to our Year 11 students for their phenomenal success this year.

The Class of 2021 has done incredibly well and this year’s results are testament to their resilience, strength and patience during their final two years at St George Catholic College. We are very proud of how well they have worked and how they have handled what have been challenging and uncertain times.

There are many individual successes with two students achieving all grade 9s; one leaving with 10 qualifications at grade 9 and an additional grade A for an additional Free Standing Maths Qualification. The grade 9 was introduced to recognise the very highest performing students nationally.

Overall, 84% of students have achieved grades 9-4 in all their subjects (including English and Maths) this year, and 58% obtained 9-5. Additionally, all students from the class of 2021 have gained places in further education, training or employment.

Headteacher Mr James Habberley said: “We are all extremely proud of the Class of 2021. The results that they have achieved show how hard they have worked not only for the past two years, which because of the pandemic, were very challenging for them, but since they started their journey with us  in Year 7. The fact that all of our Year 11 students have also been able to secure a place at college or on an apprenticeship in their chosen careers shows their dedication to their education. The staff at St George know that each and every one of the Class of 2021 will continue to be a success moving forward, and we wish them all the best for their futures. Congratulations!”
